Archana Kottige will play a pivotal role in Naveen Shetty's Shabari, which stars Rachita Ram. For the first time in her career, the actress will share screen time with Rachita Ram in a female-oriented film that will begin filming in Mysuru once the Covid cases in Karnataka subside.
“There are many layers in the storyline,” says an ecstatic Archana. I'll be portraying an inquisitive journalist who wants to carry on her father's legacy. My character introduces a plot twist that will be revealed in the second half of the film. After my debut film Aranyakanda, I'm playing a journalist for the second time. The choice to portray the samurai was not made consciously. It is not a conscious decision to portray the same role for the second time. I agreed to be a part of it because of the subject. I am excited to work with Rachita who has carved a niche for herself in the South Indian industry.”
